Conceptual and Feasibility Engineering of the Julcani UEA Filtered Tailings Deposit and Plant owned by Compañía de Minas Buenaventura

Resumen: The main objective of the service is to carry out feasibility engineering of the auxiliary infrastructure for the management of non-contact waters from the northern and eastern sectors of the Huachuacaja tailings dam.
Descripción:
The purpose of the study is to minimize non-contact water inflow into the tailings facility and maximize non-contact water return downstream of the tailings facility.

This will be achieved with the implementation of future R6 and R7 tailings dam-ponds to replace the current R4 and R5 tailings dam-ponds. The design of the dams must consider the civil-geotechnical designs of the dam-ponds -accesses, and the mechanical-piping-electrical-instrumentation disciplines of the pumping system, including the tailings transport line and electrical supply.

The design of the R6 and R7 dams must consider maximizing the use of the barges, pumps and pipelines currently used by SMEB in the operation of the R4 and R5 dams, which have recently been upgraded.
