Tailings management alternatives in B4 to reduce leak risks and optimization of long-term tailings management alternatives
- Fecha: 2023
- - 2024
- Cliente: Minsur
- Resumen: Minsur has developed a tailings management plan for 2040, considering new technologies and locations within the available spaces in the Chogñocota ravine, between tailings dams B2, B3 and B4. This plan determines that the best future options for the San Rafael mine are to deposit: 1) thickened high-density tailings in B2; 2) cemented paste tailings in B4; and 3) filtered tailings between B3 and B4.
