QA of the extraction of tailings from the R8 tailings deposit and its deposition in the Tajo Herminia and QA of the reinforcement of the R1 – R5 buttress – U.E.A.(Administrative economic unit)

Resumen: Ensure the safe and efficient execution of the tailings extraction works and construction of the R1-R5 counter-dike. Through rigorous field inspections and laboratory tests, we ensure the quality of the materials and compliance with industry standards. Descripción:
1. Supervision of field work for the removal and extraction of tailings from the R8 deposit towards the Herminia pit and the formation of the R1-R5 breakwater.
2. Verification of the construction company’s procedures for laboratory and field tests.
3. Start of QA activities for the R8 deposit as of June 1, 2022.
4. Start of QA activities for the R1-R5 deposit as of July 2022.
5. Evaluation of RFIs generated during the tailings removal and extraction activities and formation of the breakwater.
6. Response to RFIs by technical support led by Engineer José Luis Lara.
7. Preparation of technical responses to the RFIs to avoid alterations in the construction schedules.
8. Conducting technical consultations on the RFIs related to the removal and extraction of tailings, changes in the construction processes and solutions proposed by CMB and the Contractor.
9. Preparation of a quality dossier as a final deliverable.
10. Inclusion in the quality dossier of: activities carried out, tailings removal and extraction protocols, layer formation and release protocols, laboratory results and RFIs.
