Scenario

Emilia Perez follows four extraordinary women in Mexico, each searching for their own happiness. Cartel leader Emilia hires Rita, an underrated lawyer, to help her fake her own death so she can finally live authentically as her true self, recounts the two years of preparation for this challenging role in Jacques Audiard’s film. the two extremes of his own personality, which he had to play as Emilia and the Handyman, said that the idea for the musical inspired him from a novel about a drug dealer who yearns to change his identity.. Depicted in Latin: La Bamba Remake, Tarantino has a BIG mouth, and Jenna and Selena’s SPICE is amazing!

Emilia Pérez is in 2024

(2024). Suspicion, written by Camille (as C. Dalmais), Clément Ducol and Jacques Audiard, stars Zoe Saldana. a musical drama starring Zoe Saldana as Rita, a lawyer who is working her job until a drug lord kidnaps her and asks her to change gender.

Much of the story is told through musical numbers, so if you don’t like that genre, stay away

Along the way, Selena Gomez plays Jessi, the drug lord’s wife who is adjusting to her new life with the children she raised with him after a sex change she knows nothing about. Then of course, Karla Sofía Gascón plays Emilia Pérez, a sex-changed drug lord who continues to build her empire (no longer “his”). This particular movie had a very strange effect on me after it ended, because I went into it blind, and honestly, that’s how it should have been, because the movie as a whole is very unexpected and quite comical in places. After the director and cast introduced us, the movie started and the audience laughed and enjoyed some aspects of the movie, and I appreciate that.

The musical performance at the end was boring in my opinion, but I think it summed up the story a bit

The film shines most in its incredible cinematography (which was amazing to say the least), powerful acting from everyone involved, and some of the musical numbers. Now I say “some” of the musical numbers because most of them are pretty good and impact the story, but as the film progresses, the musical numbers become much less prominent than they used to be and as a result, they become clichéd. But don’t get me wrong, the film is for everyone and I really enjoyed some elements of this film and I think most of you will too when it comes out soon enough. Overall, while not as good as I had hoped, Emilia Pérez is still a cinematic achievement in musical numbers and a great performance that really makes the film that much more interesting and fun.
