CIA agent Joe tries to balance his personal and professional life as the spearhead of the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped to make the execution of weapons handling, house cleaning, positioning, squad activities, etc. more authentic. Nominated for Premios Soberano (2024). I waited 4 episodes to really immerse myself for a long period of time in this film. The goal was to give myself a chance to appreciate the gift given to us by many of the leading players who contributed to the creation of this work, which is otherwise enjoyable and well-appreciated by many despite mixed reviews. Many viewers have told stories from a similar angle, but this vision remains exciting here, as you embark on a more confusing but well-crafted plot with female characters throughout, each of whom confidently captures our attention every time they appear. There’s no telling halfway through whether this sense of urgency, as more and more is revealed about what’s happening, will remain at the level it is now, but given the subject matter, budget, and talent pool they were able to bring this to the screen, it’ll be hard to miss the landing, mainly due to the strong foundation of the series.
